This is a circular route from The Bowden Hall Hotel, with a stop approximately half way at The King’s Head pub. The pub is in a countryside setting. It’s a good stop along the route on a sunny day for a cheeky drink! Web site is www.kingshead-uptonstleonards.co.uk and phone number 01452 616042. You will need to make a reservation for food if you would like a meal, and we suggest you advise the pub if you are a hen group.

A short but interesting walk on mostly level, fairly even ground from the Bowden Hall Hotel. A rural village walk along country lanes, village footpaths, a wonderfully kept allotment, hay meadows and grazing pastures. Finishing at the Kings Head pub (get a pre booked taxi back) or continue on as part of a circular route back to the hotel.

The pretty village of Upton St Leonards is a typical English village in the county of Gloucestershire. The village has two four-star hotels, a parish Church, a pub, a school, a village hall and cricket ground.
